Questions
- Will this guarantee a specific file size?
- No — compression works by re-encoding embedded images at a lower quality and resolution. A PDF with large photos will shrink significantly; a text-only or already-optimized PDF may shrink only a little.
- Does this reduce text or vector quality?
- No. Only embedded raster images are re-encoded. Text, vector graphics, and fonts are left untouched.
